A few weeks ago I got a mail from The Blogger Point (HERE) inviting me for a blogcation at Nordic Hotel, HERE I was still in Lagos unsure of my attendance, but I replied yes anyways, hoping I would be able to make it. Honestly my mind did not mentally prepare me for what was coming next.
So firstly for those who are not sure what The Blogger Point is about, it’s a platform community for bloggers to share experiences and also find balance to work with brands that on their own might be beyond their reach...
The week of the blogcation, I tried my best and returned to Abuja and then the devil struck and I was involved in a bad accident and my car was badly damaged, honestly the stress was so overwhelming I broke down, I needed space to clear my head and to be pampered. As one who isn’t financially buoyant to make such decisions come to life, I was really grateful to my ‘YES’ answer for my Nordic Hotel experience.
The
very minimalist place with unique ambience is hidden at plain site in
the heart of Abuja (Mabushi). This place is a dream, and you may not
tell at first glance until you get in and you’re embraced with this
warmth of home and intrigued with the details that make you feel safe
and amused. Every
item that make up Nordic Hotel is aimed to give you an experience that
also reflects the feelings and vibes of the owners. Some furniture has
be custom made and handpicked mostly from Scandinavia. Their rooms are
masterpieces, nothing short of exquisite and luxurious. As a creative,
this is a dream place to catch feelings. They talk about a
#nordicfeeling at Nordic Hotel - and I truly felt it.

Sharing a space with BluCabana was a princess dream, a little stroll and another different environment stares you in the face, with a pool reflecting the sky and birds chirping making you feel like you’re in Havana (a city in Cuba). They make the best everything. It’s almost like they’re trying to beat themselves to perfection. Their chips, burger is a must and on average I’d say quite affordable, if N5,000 isn’t much of a budget for a meal. Also their sushi (what? In Abuja? YES) is amazing! The breakfast was very lovely too - home-made bread, omelets and fantastic oatmeal porridge… Is that getting trendy again?

What made the trip a extra great was that I had my best girls with me (Isn’t that how its said?) Portia and Anabelle, both old time friends and we blended so well, our first meal was so fun but our last was even more memorable! .
Everything I wore asides the Bandana and bag where from Desire1709 store, they have amazing pieces and in coming weeks items from there will make it to the blog

Hi Grace, glad you had an amazing experience, I need to visit Abuja soon. Sorry about your car, hope it's all fixed now.
ReplyDeleteYes, you need to dear and my Car is a bit better now... thank you
DeleteI went to Nordic Hotel at one of their old locations, and it was my second favorite hotel experience in Nigeria ever! I loved it so much. Their hospitality is out of this world, and the owner is so nice. Whenever I make it back to Nigeria, if I stop in Abuja, I'm definitely staying at Nordic Hotel.
